Tesla has officially introduced the updated Model Y to the Philippines, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy. The electric SUV, which features enhanced performance and design upgrades, is now available for order through Tesla’s online configurator. Deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with prices starting at $52,000 (approximately 2.9 million PHP) for the base Rear-Wheel Drive variant.

The updated Model Y boasts a refreshed exterior design, including new wheel options and improved aerodynamics, as well as an upgraded interior with premium materials and advanced infotainment features. Tesla has also emphasized the vehicle’s increased range, with the Long Range All-Wheel Drive version offering up to 330 miles on a single charge. The Performance variant, priced at $62,000 (around 3.5 million PHP), accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
This launch aligns with Tesla’s broader efforts to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia, a region with growing demand for electric vehicles. The Philippines, in particular, has seen increased government support for EV adoption, including tax incentives and infrastructure development.
