The announcement of Quicksilver’s availability was made via Tesla U.K.'s official social media account on platform X, allowing U.K. customers to customize their reengineered Model 3 with this eye-catching hue, now in line with offerings in several other European countries.
Quicksilver is one of two premium paint finishes developed at Giga Berlin’s state-of-the-art paint facility. Alongside Midnight Cherry Red, Quicksilver boasts a highly pigmented metallic finish that shifts in appearance based on lighting and viewing angles. Tesla emphasizes this dynamic quality in promotional materials, highlighting Quicksilver's “liquid metal effect” that accentuates the Model 3’s sleek curves.
This color is particularly appealing for the Tesla Model 3 Performance variant, which features a more aggressive front and rear design. Quicksilver enhances these standout features with its rich depth and dimensionality.
While Quicksilver is the most luxurious paint option available for the Model 3 in the U.K., it comes at a premium cost. Priced at an additional £2,000, it matches the Ultra Red option in expense. In comparison, more standard colors such as Deep Blue Metallic, Solid Black, and Stealth Grey are available for an extra £1,300.
