Tesla today released a video showcasing the construction progress of its dedicated production facility for the Semi electric truck, located near the Nevada Gigafactory. This event marked the first public display of the unique branding design for the Semi model, emphasizing Tesla’s commitment to the project.

Dan Priestley, the project leader for the Tesla Semi, revealed, "In the past few months, we have completed the main structural build of the facility, including walls, columns, and the concrete flooring. Our current focus is on the installation of production equipment to prepare for mass production." The facility is designed with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units, and Tesla plans to complete industrial deployment over the next few quarters, with the first batch of production vehicles scheduled to roll off the assembly line by the end of this year and full ramp-up expected by 2026.
As the only Tesla vehicle yet to be produced at scale, the Semi electric truck has undergone extensive real-world testing with logistics fleets for several years. Priestley emphasized, "Both the factory and the vehicle will undergo significant upgrades, proving that this electric truck is ready for large-scale application." Notably, the video concluded with the unveiling of the new Semi branding, which reflects Tesla’s minimalist design language with futuristic, slender lettering. The letter "E" is distinctively created with three horizontal lines, presenting an industrial aesthetic that differs from the graffiti-style logo of the Cybertruck.
