The latest Tesla 2024 Model 3 Performance (Highland) has launched in China, joining its availability in regions like Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. This expansion isn't surprising, given Tesla's focus on Giga Shanghai as its main export center.
In China, Tesla is promoting the new Model 3 Highland Performance version, priced starting at RMB 335,900 for the Performance All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variants. Tesla China claims it offers a cruising range of 623 km based on the CLTC standard, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 261 km/h.
The package in China includes sports seats, 19-inch warp wheels, and Track Mode V3. Orders placed now expect delivery around Q3 2024.
Additionally, the Model 3 Performance has launched in Southeast Asian markets like Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
Before TSLA's Q1 2024 earnings call, Tesla unveiled the new Model 3 Performance in the United States, highlighting enhancements like bespoke chassis hardware to enhance stiffness and performance. The vehicle's 4th gen drive unit promises a significant increase in power and torque, with a boost of +22% continuous power, +32% peak power, and +16% peak torque.
