Update FSD (Supervised) v12.4.2: A Safer and More Intelligent Driving Experience

Revolutionary Update

Tesla is proud to introduce FSD (Supervised) v12.4.2, a groundbreaking update that takes the city-streets driving stack to the next level with a single end-to-end neural network trained on millions of video clips, replacing over 300k lines of explicit C++ code.

Vision-Based Attention Monitoring

With FSD (Supervised) enabled, our advanced driver monitoring system relies on the cabin camera to determine driver attentiveness. The camera must have clear visibility, and the driver must be looking forward at the road without distractions. If inattentiveness is detected, a warning will appear, which can be dismissed by reverting attention to the road ahead. Warnings will escalate depending on the nature and frequency of detected inattentiveness, with continuous inattention leading to a Strikeout.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised)

Under your supervision, FSD (Supervised) can drive your Tesla almost anywhere. It will make lane changes, select forks to follow your navigation route, navigate around other vehicles and objects, and make left and right turns. You and anyone you authorize must use additional caution and remain attentive. Remember, FSD (Supervised) does not make your vehicle autonomous. Stay alert and avoid complacency.

Autopilot Suspension

To ensure maximum safety and accountability, use of FSD (Supervised) will be suspended if improper usage is detected. Improper usage includes receiving five Autopilot Strikeouts, which occurs when the Autopilot system forcefully disengages due to inattentiveness. Each time you receive a Strikeout, you'll have to wait for a 7-day period without any further Strikeouts before the suspension is lifted.
