Tesla Model Y 7-Seater Expands Availability in More Countries

The highly anticipated Tesla Model Y 7-seater is now accessible in additional countries, including the United Kingdom and several European Union member states, enhancing Tesla's appeal for families seeking spacious electric SUVs.

In the UK, the 7-seater option for the Model Y costs an extra £2,500 ($3,269), and it is exclusively available with the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant. This model starts at a base price of £51,990 ($68,004), elevating the total cost of the 7-seater configuration to £54,490 ($71,274), making it a competitive choice for larger families.

Tesla appears to maintain consistent pricing across EU nations. In Germany, for instance, the 7-seater configuration also incurs an additional charge of €2,500 ($2,726) and is limited to the Long Range AWD model. The base price for the Model Y LR AWD in Germany begins at €55,970 ($61,047), bringing the total for the 7-seater to €58,470 ($63,774).

In the United States, Tesla raised the price of the Model Y 7-seater by $500 in January 2024, shifting the surcharge from $2,500 to $3,000, while currently, it stands at $2,000. The Model Y LR AWD starts at $40,490 before options.

Recently, production of the Model Y 7-seater began at Tesla's Giga Shanghai facility. These China-manufactured units will cater to both domestic buyers and the European market, further solidifying Tesla's international presence in the electric vehicle sector.
