Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD Exceeds Expectations with 408-Mile Range Achievement

A Tesla Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) recently achieved a striking milestone, traveling 408 miles on a single charge—well beyond its EPA-rated range of 363 miles. This remarkable accomplishment highlights the efficiency of Tesla’s redesigned Model 3 lineup and the potential of thoughtful driving habits.

The Journey: Efficiency at Its Best

The impressive result was shared by Tesla owner David Krasniy, who posted a snapshot of the vehicle’s stats showing an average energy consumption of just 184 Wh/mile. This energy efficiency reflects not only the vehicle’s engineering but also the driver's careful throttle management. While this is an extraordinary feat, it’s not an isolated incident for the latest Model 3 generation.

Surpassing the Standard

In a separate test by Out of Spec Studios, the Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD)—a less energy-efficient variant—achieved 370 miles on a single charge at a consistent 70 mph, surpassing its EPA rating of 341 miles. The improvement was evident when compared to earlier models, with the new version offering up to 60 miles of additional range even after factoring in battery degradation.

Affordable Excellence

Currently, the Model 3 Long Range RWD is one of Tesla’s most cost-effective options, offering a perfect blend of affordability and top-tier efficiency. For prospective EV owners, this model serves as an entry point into the premium electric vehicle market, combining range, performance, and value.

Tesla's commitment to constant innovation is evident in the Model 3 Long Range RWD, which not only meets but often exceeds the expectations of its users. For drivers prioritizing efficiency and affordability, it’s a shining example of what modern EVs can achieve.
