Tesla has made exciting updates to its referral program, offering more significant discounts for buyers and higher rewards for referrers. One of the most notable changes is the reset of the referral program’s cap, giving everyone a fresh start to earn rewards.
The updated program is currently available in North America, including both the United States and Canada. While Europe, China, and other regions aren’t yet included, it’s likely that Tesla will expand these changes soon.
Bigger Referral Discounts
Under the new program, buyers can save up to $2,000 USD on their Tesla purchase, including the Cybertruck in the United States. The Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck receive the highest discount of $2,000, while the Model 3 and Model Y offer $1,000 off. Canadian buyers can save up to $2,600 CAD, although the Cybertruck and Model 3 are not eligible for the discount.
Inventory vehicles, including demo models, are also eligible for discounts, so there’s an opportunity to save even more. However, used vehicles are not included. With 0% financing available on Full Self-Driving (FSD) purchases, this could be one of the best times to buy a new Tesla—especially with federal EV rebates potentially ending next year in both the US and Canada.
Enhanced Referral Rewards
Referral rewards have also increased significantly. Referrers can now earn up to $1,000 USD in the United States or $1,300 CAD in Canada. This is the highest reward Tesla has ever offered, with the possibility of accumulating up to $10,000 USD or $13,000 CAD. Rewards can be applied towards the purchase of a new vehicle, Tesla accessories, Supercharging, or even Tesla Service. Plus, there’s the exciting chance to win an invite to a special Tesla event, potentially for a future product launch like the Model Y Juniper or the $25,000 next-gen car.
Referral Reset
For those who maxed out the previous referral program, Tesla has reset all referral counts, giving everyone a new 10-referral limit. This limit will reset again either when Tesla makes another update or after a 12-month cycle.
